The Jameson Satellite

from Amazing Songs by The Legendary Ten Seconds

/

about

A song about a science fiction story written by Neil R Jones

lyrics

Professor Jameson sought a plan
Some might think him not a wise man
After death his body to preserve
His solution we shall now observe

His coffin was the Jameson satellite
Propelled into space like a meteorite
For aeons revolving around the Earth
Where he had died and the place of his birth

Generation after generation passed away
The rule of mankind had had it’s final day
Other races would then arrive
But each in their turn would also die

Billions of years in a far off time
Our Sun is no longer in it’s prime
Stars are born and then they die
The Sun used up it’s hydrogen supply

In the Solar System from far off Zor
A strange spaceship the Zoromes saw
It was the Jameson satellite
So small it was an intriguing sight

25X987
Perhaps one with a number eleven
8B52
These were just some of the Zorome crew

They removed the body revived the brain
So the professor might live once again
They gave him a body like their own
Made of metal not flesh and bone
Made of metal not flesh and bone
