His body lying battered Now the battle has ended Stripped of his armour that looked so splendid A once proud king in his armour with gold A tale of treachery to be told Thrown over a horse And then carried away Taken to Leicester To be put on display Buried hastily by the Grey Friars Under the tiles of their church choir His remains were not thrown into the Soar That noble King of the white boar That noble King of the white boar That noble King of the white boar

He can feel his heart beating in his head He can still recall the words she said Was she here in his room He can almost smell her sweet perfume He laughed he cried he was enthralled In his dreams he can still recall He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long Life without her hurts him so If only he could just let go As hope turns to despair He wishes that he didn’t care He laughed he cried he was enthralled In his dreams he can still recall He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long He can hear his heart beating in his head He can still recall the words she said Was she here in his room He can almost smell her sweet perfume He laughed he cried he was enthralled In his dreams he can still recall He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long He got it wrong he got it wrong Her love for him did not last long

Keep us Free 02:46
Keep us free from the yoke of tyranny That threatens us from the east And the rule of an evil man Who is like a savage beast Let's pray for a better future And the hope we can live in peace Free from the shadow of a nuclear threat And that warfare will one day cease Keep us free from the chains of oppression And the oligarchs in their domain Free from the cloak of corruption For honestly it causes such pain Let's pray for a better future And the hope we can live in peace Free from the shadow of a nuclear threat And that warfare will one day cease But still yet another dictator Gains the power to command With misguided cruel intentions Bringing misery to this land Let's pray for a better future And the hope we can live in peace Free from the shadow of a nuclear threat And that warfare will one day cease That warfare will one day cease

He hears the calling beyond whispering trees Guiding him onward he chases the breeze His hope and destiny beneath his seat Two wheels one engine a strong heartbeat His quest to reach his destination Save his comrade's from war's creation Through pulsing veins a life blood flows A river of strength a sweet repose Dark horizons are wild and cruel Fallen horses men and a mule Home is where his heart belongs The shire of Devon with bird songs The sergeant spoke to this young man With words of wisdom he said you can Make haste my son fare thee well And leave behind these visions of hell The young man said my oath is true We were so many and now so few Here on this iron steed With this message I will succeed Fields of dread the broken cry In war such folly young men die Tell mum I love her Betty too Lest you forget we died for you Dark horizons are wild and cruel Fallen horses men and a mule Home is where his heart belongs The shire of Devon with bird songs Dark horizons are wild and cruel Fallen horses men and a mule Home is where his heart belongs The shire of Devon with bird songs So where is the glory In your brave story Honouring your quest Red poppies for the valiant rest

They departed from the Firth of Forth While the German fleet sailed North Sailing towards that fateful day A naval battle at the end of May The Germans had hoped to lure and trap A portion of the British fleet But their signals were decrypted And Jellicoe's larger fleet Admiral Scheer would meet They departed from Scapa Flow To the south they would go Sailing towards that fateful day A naval battle at the end of May The Germans had hoped to lure and trap A portion of the British fleet But their signals were decrypted And Jellicoe's larger fleet Admiral Scheer would meet In the run to the south On the British ships was wrought The German superb gunnery As the battle cruisers fought They departed from the Firth of Forth While the German fleet sailed North Sailing towards that fateful day A naval battle at the end of May The Germans had hoped to lure and trap A portion of the British fleet But their signals were decrypted And Jellicoe's larger fleet Admiral Scheer would meet

A horseman came riding a riding one day Upon his steed of silvery grey His eyes fell upon a glorious sight A raven haired maiden in a gown that was white Good morning to you said the young man May I ask your name and where you are bound My name is of no consequence to you Nor where I am travelling travelling to You know of course that this forest is famed For giants goblins and dragons untamed On hearing this the maid stopped short And began to give her journey some thought Eleanor sir is my given name And my home is to where where I am bound So she rode with him into the forest so deep But they didn't hear the evil beast creep From out of the trees a dragon appeared Barring their way as they had feared With nostrils aflame and eyes ablaze The bold young man returned the beast's gaze His hand reached down to grab his sword And at them the beast savagely roared At the dragon's heart the brave man struck And killed that dragon with more than good luck The creature died before their own eyes And the young man had gained a precious prize His future decided in that very place As he held Eleanor in a tender embrace

Young Thomas Parr killed on Easter day As the morning mist slowly fades away Revealing the dead bodies fallen on the ground The aftermath of battle scattered all around The valiant young squires of sacred Easter day For their souls young Richard he would pray John Milewater killed on Easter day As the morning mist slowly fades away The humble and the mighty fallen on the ground Including the Kingmaker whose name is so renowned The valiant young squires of sacred Easter day For their souls young Richard he would pray Buried in London's church of the Greyfriars A noble resting place for the Duke of Gloucester's squires The valiant young squires of sacred Easter day For their souls young Richard he would pray The valiant young squires of sacred Easter day For their souls young Richard he would pray
